Plan your stay
around what's on.

Llandudno has a season for everything. This is every event we know about across the town and the wider Conwy county — touring shows, concerts and comedy at Venue Cymru, live music most weekends at The Motorsport Lounge, plus festivals, artisan markets, classic-car weekends, and the walks and trails that run all year round.

We keep it current so you can build a trip around a date, rather than hoping something is on when you arrive. Everything here is within easy reach of the house, and most of it is close enough to walk.

The next few weeks

Coming up.

Before you go

Making a night
of it.

Venue Cymru — about ten minutes on foot. Down towards the promenade, flat the whole way. Eat first if you like: Mamma Rosa is two minutes from the doors and well practised at serving people with a curtain to catch, and Samphire at the Cae Mor is next door to the venue if you would rather only walk once.

The Motorsport Lounge — ten to fifteen minutes. Out of Arvon Avenue, along Chapel Street, and very nearly a straight line from there to Builder Street by the station. Live music, tribute acts and comedy most weekends — a proper local venue with a stage and a bar, rather than a hotel function room.

Then don't drive home. Ten rooms, keyless entry at any hour, and a morning that is entirely your own.

  • Venue Cymru

Theatre and arena share one address on the promenade. Thirty-three of the dates on this page are here, from touring musicals to the Welsh Open snooker.

  • The Motorsport Lounge

Twenty-seven dates, most weekends of the year. A genuine venue with a stage and a bar, rather than a function room with a PA.

  • Free after four

Promenade parking costs nothing from four in the afternoon, which covers almost any evening performance.

  • Eat before the show

Mamma Rosa is well practised at a curtain-up deadline, and Samphire at the Cae Mor sits next door to the venue.

  • The walk back

The promenade is level the whole way and lit after dark — two miles of it if you fancy the long way round.

  • No curfew

Keyless entry at any hour. Stay for the encore, and let the morning be entirely your own.

Any time you visit

On through the season.

Some of the best of Llandudno runs for weeks or months rather than one night. Guided walks around the town and Conwy, the artisan food market at Bodnant, a weekly dance class, and trails you can pick up whenever the weather turns kind.

None of it depends on catching one particular evening, so it is worth knowing about whichever week you come — and it is the answer when the forecast changes your plans.

Where it all happens

Three places, and everything else.

Almost everything in this diary happens in one of three places. Knowing which is which, and how far each one is on foot, saves a lot of guessing.

Venue Cymru

Thirty-three of the seventy-five dates below are here, which makes it comfortably the busiest thing in town. It is really two buildings sharing an address: the theatre, which takes the touring musicals, the drama and most of the comedy, and the arena next door, which handles the larger concerts and the Welsh Open snooker in late winter.

It sits directly on the promenade at LL30 1BB, roughly ten minutes on foot from both the town centre and the railway station, and flat the entire way. From our front door in Arvon Avenue it is about the same, downhill towards the sea.

Parking is a Pay and Display car park at the rear, operated by Conwy County Borough Council, running from around three pounds for two hours to fourteen pounds fifty for a full day. Venue Cymru are careful to say a space cannot be guaranteed on busy nights, and on a sold-out show that is worth taking seriously. The local habit is to leave the car on the promenade instead, where parking is free after four in the afternoon. Blue badge holders have designated bays to the left of the main entrance.

The Motorsport Lounge

Twenty-seven dates, and the reason this page has so much live music on it. It is on Builder Street up by the station, ten to fifteen minutes from us: out of Arvon Avenue, along Chapel Street, then very nearly a straight line from there.

Tribute acts and original bands most weekends through the year. It is a genuine venue with a stage and a bar rather than a function room with a PA, which is why the listings run so deep and so consistently.

Around the county

Another thirteen sit outside the town itself: guided walking tours, the artisan food market at Bodnant, food and craft fayres at the Penderyn distillery, and the occasional event up at Gwrych Castle. A good number of these run continuously rather than on fixed dates, which is why they have their own section further up rather than being filed under a month they do not really belong to.

The shape of the year

Llandudno does not have a single season. The Victorian Extravaganza takes over the town centre across the early May bank holiday weekend, with steam engines, period costume and a fairground, and it is free to walk around. Autumn brings the transport rallies, including the scooter rally and the Goldwing light parade. Late winter is the snooker, which fills the arena and the town with it. And through the summer the bandstand on the promenade runs free concerts, the town band among them.

Our diary currently runs from today through to the middle of May 2027, and it updates itself as venues publish. If something is listed here, it is on.

After six

Things to do in Llandudno in the evening.

The town does not close when the day trippers leave. Most of what is worth doing after six is within a walk of the promenade.

Live music The Motorsport Lounge runs tribute acts and original bands most weekends of the year, which is why twenty-seven of the dates on this page are theirs. It is on Builder Street by the station, ten to fifteen minutes from our front door.

Theatre and the bigger nights Venue Cymru takes the touring musicals, the comedy and the arena concerts, ten minutes away on the promenade and flat the whole walk. If you are driving to an evening performance, the promenade parking is free after four in the afternoon.

A walk, and nothing else The promenade is level the entire way and it is at its best once the beach has emptied. The bay holds the last of the light well into the evening through the summer.

All of which is easier when you are not driving home afterwards. Our rooms are a few minutes from all of it, with keyless entry at any hour.

Asked often

Questions we get.

What's on in Llandudno this weekend?

The diary on this page lists everything we know about, and it updates itself as venues publish their dates. It currently runs from today through to the middle of May 2027, across Venue Cymru, The Motorsport Lounge and the wider Conwy county. Use the month filters at the top to jump straight to a date.

How far is Venue Cymru from Llandudno town centre?

About ten minutes on foot, and flat the whole way. It is roughly the same walk from Llandudno railway station. The address is Promenade, Llandudno, LL30 1BB, right on the seafront. From The Rosedene in Arvon Avenue it is a similar ten minutes, downhill towards the sea.

Is there parking at Venue Cymru?

Yes, a Pay and Display car park at the rear of the building, operated by Conwy County Borough Council. Rates run from around three pounds for two hours up to fourteen pounds fifty for twenty-four hours. Venue Cymru state that a space cannot be guaranteed during busy periods, so on a sold-out night it is worth having a plan B.

The local alternative is the promenade itself, where parking is free after four in the afternoon, which covers most evening performances. Blue badge holders have designated bays to the left of the main entrance.

What is there to do in Llandudno in the evening?

Most evenings there is live music somewhere. The Motorsport Lounge on Builder Street runs tribute acts and original bands most weekends, and Venue Cymru covers the touring theatre, the comedy and the larger concerts. Beyond that the pier stays open into the evening in season, and the promenade is a proper walk at any hour.

Are there free events in Llandudno?

Several. The bandstand on the promenade runs free concerts through the summer, the Llandudno Town Band among them. The Victorian Extravaganza over the early May bank holiday is free to walk around. There are guided walking tours and artisan markets across the county, and the Great Orme itself costs nothing to climb.

Where can we stay near Venue Cymru?

The Rosedene is about ten minutes on foot from the venue, in Arvon Avenue just off the town centre. Ten rooms, and keyless entry at any hour, so a late finish or an encore does not leave you worrying about getting back in. Have a look at the rooms.
